The Spiral Madness

So he rapes her then asks for her hand in marriage? So that what? He can cover for the guilt? How about Shouko?

Now I don’t know if this series is getting good or becoming fucked up and retarded. I’m not really against such events to trigger character growth but a part of me just felt pissed at Haruto’s resolution.

I guess it’s frustrating that they never attempted to layout Haruto’s thought process in all of this. He was just sulking over the event then suddenly came to that resolution… Dafuq just happened??

This really reminded me of Cagalli’s dad from Gundam Seed. Badass fathers need to die but damn, they keep trolling us with what they know! As with Cagalli’s dad who never told the truth about the siblings, they never revealed the truth of the Valvraves and the entire module to the students. Not sure if that’s a good thing but it’s definitely a bitch to the viewers.

So they ended the episode with a cliffhanger. This series is stated to run for another season but dammit! It sure took its sweet time to make things interesting!

“Now I don’t know if this series is getting good or becoming fucked up and retarded.” I think it is just become retarded. Really the rape and then yeah he wants to marry her after the rape (really he thinks he can make amends after raping someone the writers have to be insane). Also he has shown no interest in Saki, he has only shown interest in Shouko. I really don’t understand what the writers were thinking when cobbled this script together.
Also aren’t they too young for marriage? You would expect at least for him to ask her for a date instead of marriage.

Yeah, under normal circumstances, this should’ve been the proper flow but we had a fucking rape scene! Man, I wonder what kind of magic mushrooms the writers were hitting when they thought of this kind of progression. asking Saki for marriage is akin to saving his sorry conscience for the deed done.

The writers were thinking like the archaic “marriage makes any sex all a-ok”, even rape. Sadly, it’s still practised in more countries than you’d think.
