FUCK!! FUCK IT ALL!! You were great pops! God fucking dammit!
Oddly enough, despite that evil grin of his after, I never found myself hating Makishima. It was a battle with their lives on the line. Makishima did what he had to in order to free himself and get his plans rolling while Masaoka did what he must as a parent.
And y’know, this is what makes me love this series overall. It isn’t as simple as black and white, light and darkness. People, the characters, have depth. They have personalities any viewer can sympathize with, can relate with. No matter how twisted or evil or malicious their intentions were, these characters lived their lives with such appeal.
Last episode. Who stands, who falls, and whose justice will be carried out?
