The Odds and Ends

Akane always gave off that vibe of helplessness. I guess she has, along the course of this series. But seeing her now and how she handled herself, not just with her negotiations with Sybil but how her train of thought came close to Kougami’s, I guess she’s at a turning point. Her evolution draws near.

I’m quite interested to see how things would turn out, how she would turn out. The experiences she had during her time as an Inspector will be tested in this final confrontation with both Kougami and Makishima. What will happen? Will she side with Sybil and save Makishima or will Kougami have his way and shed some blood?

Does Akane have any leverage to ensure that Sibyl will keep their end of the bargain :p? After she delivers Makishima ^^;?

Given that Makishima seemingly have no intentions of joining Sibyl, what would they do by bringing him in again? Force him against his will? Is there any point in doing that at all ^^;?

I guess this is the loophole of that system. Sibyl’s conversation with Akane portrayed themselves as an objective, and rational God. That their choices are based on deliberate analysis of cause and effect. But if they force Makishima to join them, won’t it show how much attached they are to their emotions, with no respect to the code they follow? Then again, Toma Kozaburo did show fear as Makishima kicked his ass so…. meh?
