The Binding Past

The past 2 episodes, while evidently rushed, did an awesome job in resolving personal conflicts from Chisato, Mifuyu, and Michiru’s conflicts as well as Oojima’s intentions of winning the election, leaving us with Oosawa turning out to be the annoying final boss for this series.

Well, politics aside, the past two episodes may be contrived and hurried but I’m still suckered by the good execution and the drama. Despite the developments scattered all over, I still felt the emotion that they wished to convey and appreciated the respective resolutions. These things may be cliche but what the heck, I’m a sucker of properly executed romance and drama elements.

But to be honest, I still dislike the Chifuyu x Oojima pair. Satsuki will always be the best girl in the series so if there’s ever a remake, I wish for a Satsuki x Oojima end.

Execution was good. Still, this was way too rushed, but understandable given what they set themselves up for ^^;. Aside from the politics and the cliché resolutions (which is unavoidable unless they deviate completely from the VN I suppose), this was mostly enjoyable. The whole deal with Chisato however feels unsatisfying, namely the resolution with Mifuyu feels too one sided for me :p. Then again, I’m more interested in other characters than these two ;).

I was actually surprised with how quick Michiru’s resolution came to be. I can’t see any other device happening after Kana’s recovery that would relate itself to Michiru’s arc =/

Well, obviously this isn’t the Michiru route :p. So you are probably right, there’s probably nothing else that would relate to Michiru from now on. Except maybe she’s the one to “save the day” or something in the end.
