The more difficult choices

This is why I prefer the term 'capture' in Kaminomi

I never thought Manchiyo would give a powerful speech like that. The thing with tacticians and strategists in works of fiction is that sometimes, they are forced to make cruel decisions for the sake of the cooperative efforts of the group. And while Manchiyo is no different, I admired her resilience in choosing the welfare of her lord rather than the sake of the group.

It may be an impractical choice but it’s a choice made with conviction and belief as well as the love and devotion of a retainer to her lord. Needless to say, I guess this simple display is a good enough character development that defines Manchiyo.

Which is a key component to this series. The one that makes it shine unlike most harem-based anime I have encountered. The character developments have been consistently good. And it’s not just Nobuna’s innocence or Manchiy’s devotion, each character has their own moment to shine. From Sagara, to Goemon, to Dousan. Their personalities convince me of their resolution in the conflict.

I honestly didn’t think the story would go this direction. This strays so far from history that whatever knowledge the protagonist may have will totally be useless now. It will probably be up to his wits to try get out of this one somehow :p, unless this will turn into a tragedy ^^; (which I doubt). The characters really shine in this episode. Can barely wait for the next episode :).

The historical inaccuracy may prove a problem but if he plans on adopting the gaming techniques then strategy-wise, he might still have his edge. Though I wonder how much would’ve changed considering he, more or less, messed up history.

lol, TWGOK style I suppose :p. Well, he has already messed it up even before this (right from the first scene in the first episode XD). Also, there are many details that don’t match historical records. Like the name of Nobuna’s brother actually belongs to Nobunaga’s son and so on… :p. I’d like to know how much he has learned about battles and strategies from games ;).
