The Future Where We Belong

This series has been quite faithful with the manga content and I do love the bonus material covered in the ending, the one where everyone gets a happy ending in the third world. Hopefully, this NEXT PROJECT won’t be a second season since I would love to give this series the closure it deserves. Not that I’m supporting how this shit ended in the manga but hey, after all the killing, these characters deserve their rest. If anything, I would really like it if they explained in detail how the third world Yuno comes to Yuki and how they would combine their powers, along with Deus to save… the fourth world? well whatever.

As for the seiyuu cast, I have to admit that aside from a handful I’m familiar with, the main leads are fresh to the ears. While both Togashi Misuzu and Murata Tomosa have a background in voice acting, the characters they portray came from the anime I rarely get to watch or they simply doesn’t stand out too much. But overall, I think these two did a memorable job as both Yukiteru and Yuno, especially Yuno who has become iconic (for me) when it comes to understanding Yanderes better.

Overall, Mirai Nikki has been a fun show. It has its boring moments but the mind games and Yuno’s yandere moments would be pretty much the highlight of this series. Well of course, there’s Yukiteru’s growth as a character. And while one may argue that Yukiteru is one annoying motherfucker, we have to admit that his growth has been one of the best character development in a series.

    It’s over? Sigh, this was probably the only show in the last two seasons that I really regret not picking up (have to find time to marathon it at some point… ^^; ). Yuno is THE definition of yandere in many circles. I suppose they never used material from any of the spinoffs? That might be a hint of what the next project might be. Then again, I can imagine a good anime original spinoff from this one if the manga authors get involved ;).

    Also, there’s a live action drama adaptation of the manga starting this month. So that might be the “next project”.

    i don’t know about the live action since I’m no fan of such but I do hope this Next Project continues with where this series left off. For people who may have not read the manga, you have to admit, Yuno coming back is a cliffhanger, not to mention, the Muru Muru keychain

    @baka~

    If that’s the case, all the more reason for it to continue ;). I really need to find the time and motivation to marathon through this one XD.
