Japanese Anime Saves the World!!

The anime that I thought to be one of the crappiest turned out to be one of the most heart-warming……… NOT!

Ear grating experience aside, this anime did deliver a level of enjoyment befitting of its genre. What I did dislike with this end in particular is the fact that they made it open for a second season. I don’t know if I would support a second season or if it would even make sense considering how Hibiki somehow managed to change Fine’s mind but I would’ve loved it if the girls perished and were recognized as heroes. But hey, this is no Madoka Magica.

If anything, this anime strictly followed the template of typical mahou shoujo anime, take for instance Nanoha. There were powers, there were rivalries, reconciliation, and salvation and finally, parting. There was nothing new, nothing fresh at all, but this anime is just as entertaining.

Lastly, I finally heard all character songs and separating them from the battles, they sounded OK, surprisingly. I really like Gyakkou no Flugel followed by Zettou Ameno Habakiri, Watashi to Iu Oto Hibiki Sono Saki ni, and Makyuu Isshi-Bal. Well, Yuuki Aoi still has that grating voice but Watashi to Iu Oto Hibiki Sono Saki ni has a good beat to it.

So I guess giving this anime another chance was worth it. It’s not outstanding per se but it was worth my time… Assuming one gets accustomed to the singing-while-fighting.

    lol. Yeah, singing while fighting! XD

    Her voice don’t seem as grating in the last episode as the previous twelve. Almost as if the torture was there more just because she was trying to portray character growth through the singing :p. Definitely looking forward to recordings of the live concert and also the songs from the last episode (usually, I don’t care so much about songs from anime that much, but it’s unavoidable in this show XD).

    This reminded me of Sacred Seven, or rather what Sacred Seven was supposed to be like in my opinion. Not so much the singing while fighting XD, but more of the fun and enjoyment. Too bad that didn’t turn out well enough.

    Well, the only benefit gained from Sacred Seven was the OP and ED song. The entire anime was over-the-top fail D:

    @baka~

    True. Sacred Seven was fail in many many ways. The premise was sound in my opinion. So were the characters for the most part. Everything else (especially the execution of the plot) failed. I’d like to think that they could have made it work, like how it worked out here ;).
