God Eater Seiyuu Cast

Because I have nothing better to do than appreciate Seiyuu awsmness

Been addicted to this for awhile but aside from the main cast, I can hardly find info on the Seiyuu cast for the rest of the characters. Big props to Keiri for making this post possible (she translated and recognized the voices on the bonus track of God Eater Burst where the seiyuu introduces themselves)

Rindo Amemiya – Hiroaki Hirata
Sakuya Tachibana – Sayaka Ohara
Johannes von Shikkuzaru – Rikiya Koyama
Tsubaki Amemiya – Atsuko Tanaka
* Natsu Tachibana – Noriko Uemura
* Fenrir’s Commanding Officer – Takuya Kirimoto
* Fenrir’s Official in Charge – Hiromu Miyazaki
Tatsumi Oomori – Takeshi Mori
Brendan Bardell – Tomoaki Maeno
Kanon Daiba – Ryou Hirohashi
Shun Ogawa – Yuuki Kaji
Karel Schneider – Miyu Irino
Gina Dickinson – Satomi Satou
Hibari Takeda – Kanae Itou
Erik der Vogelweide – Takahiro Fujimoto
Soma Shikkuzaru – Kazuya Nakai
** Alisa Irinichina Amiera – Maaya Sakamoto
** Kouta Fujiki – Daisuke Sakaguchi
** Shio – Yukari Fukui
** Dr. Sakaki Peira – Daisuke Nan
*** Quest-Giver Girl??
*** Ren – no idea but from the voice, I could guess Miyuki Sawashiro
*** Anett (her alias is spelled this way)
*** Federico (his alias is spelled this way)
Ren – Ryouko Shiraishi
Anett – Ami Naga
Federico – Nobunaga Shimazaki

* characters who I couldn’t figure in-game
** characters who didn’t introduce themselves in the bonus track
*** no info so far

(again, sincerest thanks to Keiri for the updates)

I urge anyone who feels reprimanding me for the mistakes I posted here to do so. I’ve been frustrated looking for seiyuu info so come at me with your corrections 😀

Character Notes:

List of my observations per character used

Rindou: Upon completing the game, you can use his 3 versions

Rindou Original: Good offensive
Rindou Aragami Arm: Good offensive
Rindou Aragami Arm Healed: Behaviour is much like Alisa, switching from sword to gun and giving you burst

Sakuya: somewhat useless in God Eater. Best healer in God Eater Burst and decent gunner

Soma: Best hard hitter. His revives give a lot of hp most of the time

Kouta: Ranged gunner. Rarely or rather, almost never heals me. His revives give decent HP though

Alisa: Best support character overall. Decent HP heal, can switch from swords to guns, passes burst to player… You can peek under her skirt 😉

Chiot: She has two costumes to play with but her play style is much like Alisa’s

Tatsumi: short sword user. His weapon sucks but props to him for coming to your aid fast and reviving you

Brendan: iirc, he uses a buster sword like Soma. Only used him on certain story mode missions but Soma plays better than this guy

Canon: used her in story mode missions. dual-edged character to have in the party since she can disrupt your melee combos with her explosive ranged attacks. she heals you with a flamethrower. despite her flaws, she’s quite amusing since she seems to have a split personality, often switching from moe to yandere within the game

Shun: This is the second short sword user… I think. uses a long sword. Only used him on story mode missions.

Karel: The metrosexual cloud strife. Good Gunner to have with, being a decent substitute on missions without Sayaka. Uses lasers

Gina: Satomi Satou? EH?! Another decent gunner much like Karel. Uses bullets with mixed elements

Ren: Decent gunner…. Saying anything more is spoiler

Anett: My substitute for Soma who arrives on God Eater Burst. Despite using a buster sword, she switches to guns from time to time. She seems to pass on burst to the player and above all, she wears shimapan! God bless this character!!!

Frederico: Never played with this guy except for missions. Decent gunner imo

Erik: Never bothered to play with this guy even after unlocking him.

    Natsu Tachibana – Noriko Uemura

IIRC, Uemura introduced her character as Sakuya’s grandmother in the bonus track?

*** Ren – no idea but from the voice, I could guess Miyuki Sawashiro
*** Anett (her alias is spelled this way)
*** Federico (his alias is spelled this way)

What I dug out from Japanese sites:
    Ren – Ryouko Shiraishi
    Anett – Ami Naga
    Federico – Nobunaga Shimazaki

And um, if you have a screenshot of the Quest-Giver Girl with her name displayed (assuming she has one), I can look it up for you. Or if you have a screenshot of the ending credits which display the cast (the word usually looks like this – “キャスト” or “声の出演” if they’re written in Japanese), that would do as well if I could read the characters. ^^

PS. Damn, I feel like I’m missing out on a lot of good things for not owning a PSP. :s

well, I’ll see if I can get myself a decent screenshot for the credits. for now, why not check this link to see if you can recognize her voice. Also, I’m having doubts if Hibari really is Kanae Itou.

Oh and thanks for checking out the names of the rest of the cast. I’m really grateful for your help 😀

lol, well, the bad thing about PSP is that really good games are hard to come by. Most of the time, you’ll be playing certain games to kill time, waiting for that one gaming experience where you can truly enjoy yourself. Of course, there’s the common PSP staples such as Tekken and Monster Hunter but depending on how you view gaming, you may get bored easily. As for God Eater, it’s a really short game but the story is interesting enough (even though I don’t understand everything) and it’s fully voiced XD

ugh, sadly, no Jap Seiyuu in the english version

oh and the JAP DLC has been providing quality for me… such as this one. Sadly, since I made a male character, I only get accelerator’s costume… orz

Right. I watched the video. Brainstormed over it for a bit… Did some more digging and true enough… Ahaha get this:
Quest-Giver Girl = Hibari Takeda = Kanae Itou
    WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! XD

    Her name looks like this:
竹田ヒバリ (Takeda Hibari) – 伊藤かな恵 (Itou Kanae)
You can double check this in-game and in the game’s ending credits if her name shows up there. ^_^

Hibari and Ren. Kanae Ito as Hibari? damn, I didn’t even recognize the voice (unless this isn’t Hibari O_O)

I think that girl in the gray uh, undershirt(?) is called Rikka Kusunoki and she’s voiced by Saki Yasuda. ^^

Hmm… I used to play Monster Hunter on the PS2 but currently taking a break. Not sure whether I’d like to play the same thing on the PSP though. XD

    SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII-!! MISAKA!! O__O

OMG that sooo tempted me! Cameos due to collaborations are just wicked! 😀

Which reminds me… The other game that has been nagging me for a PSP purchase is the To Aru Majutsu no Index PSP game. I’ve seen a few gameplay videos and they’re driving me nuts (as in urging me to get it)!

Anyway, God Eater sounds like the kind of game I would play. Good story but moderately short gaming hours (By short, maybe around 60+ hours?). I guess I could tolerate longer stuff too. I love playing the Tales and Shin Megami Tensei series on the PS2. I’m a fan of a couple of Final Fantasy titles too but I haven’t touched anything beyond the PS2 since I don’t own any console newer than that. orz

LOOOOOL!!! what an epic fail on my part XD

yep, this is a perfect example uber fail exceeding language barriers but thanks for correcting me Keiri XD

haven’t downloaded it yet since my friend mentions that it’s like a visual novel-like flow so the main issue there is making/getting the correct choices… if it was a simple versus game then it would be easy XD

if you played monster hunter and was unsatisfied in terms of story, God Eater Burst may deliver that plot and excitement in a single package
